There are many people who wish they had more motivation to exercise. In our country, obesity is on the rise, and many startling diseases and conditions have arisen from too little motivation to exercise.

Exercise increases your metabolism, so your body burns calories at a faster rate even during rest. This ability means your body runs more efficiently and makes more use of the food you put into your body.

2. Exercise stimulates the brain to produce endorphins. Endorphins are the body’s feel good chemicals. These chemicals are neurotransmitters located I the brain and are directly related to feeling good and happy.

Increasing endorphins can produce a feeling of contentment and happiness that lasts long after the workout is over. Endorphins also interact with other neurotransmitters to create a sharper mind and thinking capacity.

The synergy between these chemicals that is improved with exercise can increase attention span, decrease anxiety, and increase happy feelings.

3. Exercise provides a great outlet for frustration and anger. Exercise is a physical use of the body that can work out the kinks of stored stress. People often wear their stress in their should, neck, and back. Exercise gets blood flowing faster in these muscles, to speed repair and to loosen any cramps and kinks formed throughout the day.

Exercise is an excellent way to vent emotional anger as well. People often hold emotional anger and frustration in, and these emotions can cause damage in the form of heart burn, hypertension, and a diminished immune system. When you give your body a chance to get some of this frustration out, you also give your body a chance to maintain its healthiness even in the face of stress or frustration.

Exercise provide many advantages and can be completed ast home or at the gym. Exercise can be completed in as little as three thirty minute segments a week. As science continues to find new benefits to exercise, it should not be difficult finding the motivation to exercise.
