3 Problems of Motivation and Easy Cures
Do you have problems of motivation? Do your problems of motivation relate to having too little motivation and not enough drive to achieve or get things done? Do your problems of motivation revolve around excessive motivation and your inability to relax and enjoy any down time?
Maybe you just do not have enough motivation throughout the day, but do not feel excessively unmotivated or over motivated in general. No matter what intensity your problems of motivation are, there are ways to give your motivation center a kick start and to get your engines running again.
Below is a list of ways to handle problems of motivations...
1. Problems of motivation - too little motivation? Do you feel lethargic to the point of depressed? Are you bored often? There could be several factors at work, and probably are several factors working together to produce this lethargy. If you have driven yourself for too long and have worn yourself out, it is understandable that you would have no motivation left.
If you are stressed about other circumstances in your life, it makes sense that you might not have the same motivation level that you had before this stressor became so big or important to you.
Fundamentally, it would be nearly impossible to feel motivated and positive if your basic needs were not met. First, ask yourself if your bases are covered and you have what you need. Do you have housing, healthy food, water, enough time for rest and exercise, and support?
If not, these areas need to be addressed before you can really experience and appreciate the healthy feeling of motivation. Next, look at your life in the last year or two and determine if any big changes have occurred or if you have any large stressors looming over you at the moment.
If you are struggling with any large issues, it may be difficult for you to feel any motivation to more forward with your life. If you have pushed yourself too hard for too long, you may have little energy left for new projects.
When you are recovering from burnout and problems of motivation, start with motivation in small doses and set boundaries for yourself. If you protect yourself from burnout, you will find your performance more satisfactory to others and more enjoyable to yourself.
2. Problems of motivation - too much motivation? Remember to set limits on yourself. Burnout can be difficult to rebound from. Your mind does not want to be run into the ground, and it will be unwilling to following you down that path too many times.
You may be finding an inability to get involved in a task if you have recently been driving yourself too hard. Try setting limits and taking your new projects more slowly. Because of prior problems of motivation you may not get as much done in a short period of time, but you are more likely to enjoy the work you do complete.
3. Problems of motivation - for smaller problems of motivation, practice some simple self motivation tips. Try making a list of your goals and looking at it often. Break projects up into steps so they do not become overwhelming.
Give yourself a time table to fight procrastination and problems of motivation. Remind yourself often of how far you have come in achieving your goals.
You can rebound from nearly anything, and you have skills you probably didn’t even realize. Address your problems of motivation promptly so you can enjoy your skills and abilities as much as possible.
